The orange fruit is the most popular and consumed in Argentina. This is because usually it is the cheapest and it is always present in the fruit shops. It is also the better established citrus. According to data provided by FEDERCITRUS, almost 40% of the surface and corresponds to the orange production. For 20 years the incidence was even higher, half of the citrus were oranges. Besides commercial plantations, we must add the home production. In the north of the country many have some citrus in the yard or garden.

THE BENEFITS OF HEAT AND ITS CONTRIBUTION TO WEED MANAGEMENT IN CITRUS RATIONAL.
A year after its launch in citrus crops, the herbicide Heat is known for its benefits and contributions to the sound management of weeds in oranges, tangerines and lemons crops.

From 9 to 11 of November, in Lima, Perú, was held the Eurofruit Congress for the South Hemisphere.
The event was attended by speakers and Dirk Lange Kölla Hamburg (Germany), and Paul Nicholls Total Exotics\' (United Kingdom) and the international conference focused on various topics of interest to Latin American producers and exporters of fruits and vegetables as trends in northern hemisphere markets with the latest requirements of sustainability (social and environmental) and the operation of the strategies of retailers in terms of supply, promotion of fruit and vegetables.

Eurofruit Congress Southern Hemisphere was launched in 2003 and has performed in several countries in the region of the southern hemisphere such as Australia and South Africa (several times), Chile (2 times), Argentina and Uruguay (last year), and this year for the first time in Lima - Peru and has become a classic in terms of exchanging ideas and networking.

The Argentinean blueberry season is nearly ending in the following weeks. The volumes of 2011/2012 Season are going to be near 16.000 tons versus the 15.300 of previous year. Great fruit quality was shipped to USA, UK and Continental Europe, Canada and Asia. UK and Continental Europe were the destinations with the greatest growth (35% for UK and 47% to CE).
Regarding transportation 79% of the shipments were made by air and 21% by boat.
The estimates made by the Argentinean Blueberry Committee were a little under their last projections of 38th week on September this year, due to a breakdown on prices in 42 week.
